Sodium stearate fumarate: used as a lubricant for tablets and capsules, with a commonly used amount of 0.5-2.0%. It is also used in some foods. It is a hydrophilic lubricant that is soluble in water, but its solubility is significantly affected by water temperature. At 25 ºC, the solubility in water is very small, and slightly larger amounts may cause white floating particles (sodium stearate fumarate) to appear on the surface of the effervescent solution, affecting the appearance and taste of the solution.
