Product Description

Lauric acid, also known as dodecanoic acid, is a saturated fatty acid with 12 carbon atoms. At room temperature, it is a white needle shaped crystal with a slight fragrance of laurel oil. Insoluble in water, soluble in organic solvents , ether, , slightly soluble  . Although named lauric acid, it only accounts for 1-3% of the content of lauric oil. Currently, it has been found that plant oils with high levels of lauric acid include coconut oil at 45-52%, oil palm seed oil at 44-52%, and babassu seed oil at 43-44%.

Lauric acid is mainly used as a raw material in the production of alkyd resins, wetting agents, detergents, insecticides, surfactants, food additives, and cosmetics. This product is often used as a lubricant and has various functions such as lubricant and vulcanizing agent.
