Quick Description

hitosan usually chitin mainly refers to chitosan, and its aliases are chitin, chitosan, chitosan, soluble chitin, and so-called soluble chitin. Amorphous solid, specific optical rotation [α]D11-3° ~ +10°. Almost insoluble in water, but soluble in organic acids such as  ether, benzoic acid and naphthenic acid, as well as dilute inorganic acids. The industrial product is a white or off-white translucent flake solid, slightly tinged with pearlic acid glass. Odorless, non-toxic and easily degradable, it is a rare natural cationic polyelectrolyte. A polysaccharide obtained by treating with strong alkali or enzymatically decomposing
the starch group on the sugar group of chitin. It can dissolve low-acidity aqueous solutions and has good biocompatibility. It is made from chitin in the shells of lower animals and plants commonly found in Vietnam, such as arthropods (shrimps and crabs).After adding alkali and heating, it can remove cartilage. Obtained from chemical reaction.

 

1. Chitosan used as preservative and thickener. In the food industry, it is a natural, non-toxic preservative and flocculant,and can adsorb ,  copper and other heavy metal ions in water.
2. Chitosan is also used as industrial wastewater and urban sewage treatment agent and precipitant.
3. Chitosan is used to thickener, Stabilizer,gelling agent, binder.
4. Chitosan is also used to prevent mildew in acidic substances and can form a transparent semi-permeable film on the surface. Used for pickled products, baked products,bread, oily foods, etc.
