Prismatic crystal, soluble in water, practically insoluble in benzene, chloro-form and ether. Decomposition in ethanol. There is no definite melting point, and it is violently decomposed (exploded) at 175-180 ºC. With slight chlo-rine smell, it gradually loses water in dry air, and gradually decomposes in exposed air to release chlo-rine.

Application Of Chloramine-T
1.As medicine, it is used for wound washing, mucosal disinfection, drinking water disinfection and medical device sterilization. Generally, 1-2% aqueous solution is used as wound detergent, the concentration of mucosal disinfectant is 0.1-0.2%, and the ratio of drinking water disinfectant is 1:250000.
