Magnesium hydrogen phosphate can be obtained by mixing a solution of magnesium acetate and ammonium phosphate in equal volumes at a pH of 4, leaving it to stand for one day and night, or by mixing the solution obtained by dissolving two parts of magnesium sulfate in 32 parts of water with three parts of anhydrous disodium hydrogen phosphate in 32 parts of water, and reacting for 24 hours above 36 ºC. Used as a plastic stabilizer and food additive.
