3.A novel high-spin hexanuclear Mn(III) cluster compound [NaMn6(OMe)12(dChemicalbookbm)6]+ was synthesized by oxidation of MnCl2 and simultaneous NAOME-facilitated aggregation. The cluster compound has a novel ring structure with 24 unpaired electrons in the ground state. 1 is also used to form active Mn(0) substances that can be used in radical cyclization reactions.
