Quick Description

Irgacure 2959 is an efficient and non yellowing UV initiator used to initiate UV polymerization reactions in unsaturated prepolymer systems, particularly suitable for acrylic and unsaturated polyester resins that require low odor and water-based properties. The active hydroxyl groups in the photoinitiator 2959 molecule can easily react with unsaturated resins. Suitable for regular Chemicalbook UV systems, the hydroxyl functional groups in its molecules enhance the solubility of photoinitiator 2959 in water-based coating formulations, making it suitable for water-based UV formulations. The only FDA certification system for photoinitiators 2959 allows for the use of photoinitiators with low odor, low volatility, and low yellowing, which can be used in adhesives that do not come into direct contact with food.
