Manganese tetroxide is a black tetragonal crystal, also known as pyroxene, black manganese ore, or active manganese oxide. It is crystallized by calcination and belongs to the spinel class. It is an important industrial raw material. Manganese tetroxide is mainly used in the electronics industry as a raw material for producing soft magnetic oxygen chemical books. Soft magnetic ferrite is made by sintering and shaping oxides of manganese, zinc, and iron in a certain ratio. It has a narrow residual magnetic induction curve and can be magnetized repeatedly. At the same time, its DC resistivity is high, which can avoid eddy current losses.

 

Manganese tetroxide is mainly used as a magnetic core, magnetic disk, and magnetic tape for storing information in electronic computers. It is used in the manufacturing of optical glass and low-temperature thermistors, as well as in the production of ceramics and glass pigments.
